Though a few one-off OddParents specials have aired already this year, the May 4 episode is the official start of season 9 - a milestone of which Fairly OddParents creator Butch Hartman is understandably proud. Nickelodeon’s third-longest running Nicktoon ever will return for an all-new season Saturday, May 4, at 9:30 a.m. Get ready for more wands, wings, and floaty crowny things. That is the difference between a made up on a whim idea like Timmy getting a dog and actual intriguing plots fans were asking for such as Cosmo and Wanda having a baby, Timmy/Tootie, and his inevitable separation from his fairies (a movie which turned out to be a copout, another viewership killer, but we've been over that rant) that is what separates the 6.8 million viewer Fairly Odd Movie "success" with a 3-4 million viewer "meh" like this movie and every other animated movie since Odd Baby. It's a little better than the last few animated episodes, yes, but its low for a FOP special and considering the promotion and time slot it got 3.9m is almost inexcusable. the Fairly Odd Christmas movie was merely a few months ago and it scored higher viewers in spite of having bad promotion and an awkward air date that was changed at the last moment. As others have pointed out, its a far cry from the Fairly Odd Baby special. UPDATE: FOP got 3.9 million viewers last Saturday, that is. The" three hours of magical mayhem" at the end likely refers to the total size of that particular iTunes volume, which is broken up into increments, so there will be more episodes to come. He then proceeds to use his "Fix The Car" app, but he gets his butt kicked with the "Boot To The Butt App" instead, along with him saying at the end that he hates his phone, and technology.Okay. Also, Timmy's dad says that someone has been joy riding in his car. The phone is now gone, with Timmy learning his lesson. Then, Timmy tells Cosmo, Wanda and Poof to poof away the phone. They then go to the museum and use the electromagnetic waves that Crocker was using earlier to make the phone unusable and then Chatty says that they were connected and that he has a 2 year plan similar to real life smartphones. He then tries to get rid of the phone but Chatty states that he can't because of the fact that she has an anti-fairy app that prevents magic from hitting her. Timmy, annoyed with the phone says that it is supposed to be helping him, not ruining his life. Principal Waxelplax asks Timmy why he is still at the school when his records were deleted. Then, Timmy goes to the school where Chatty had actually deleted his school records and called everyone a loser causing them to be mad at Timmy. Cosmo, Wanda and Poof then think at this point that Timmy may no longer need fairies anymore. He then uses it for all of spring break and states that he doesn't need friends at first, causing him to miss Trixie's party because she texted everyone including Timmy but due to him saying that he didn't need friends, the phone never received it. So then he wishes up a smartphone named Chatty which has many cool apps, games, an MP3 player, and a burning desire to control his life. After Timmy's parents say he cannot have a smartphone because his mom texted "No". Timmy, angered that everyone else but him has a smartphone, goes home. The plan backfires, however, when he can't use his phone and decides to stop them. Then they go into the museum, and Crocker uses electromagnetic waves to block the reception of everyone's phones. It is then discovered that everyone, even Elmer and his boil has a smartphone to do the report. They then arrive and Crocker says that they have to do a 10 page report, annoying Timmy. and a few other students, along with Crocker, go to Time Before Fun Museum. Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.
